What is Bacillus mucilaginosus?
Bacillus mucilaginosus, also known as silicate bacterium, is known for its ability to reproduce and grow in the soil. Silicate bacterium can break down silicate, aluminum silicate, potassium, and silica in minerals like mica and feldspar while also breaking down the phosphorus in apatite. Thus, B. mucilaginous can improve the efficacy of chemical fertilizer absorption while naturally producing nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus, which reduces the cost of employing chemical fertilizers and increasing crop yield. In addition to increasing crop yields, B. mucilaginosus also improves soil quality, loosens hard soil, and balances nutrients while increasing soil fertility, revitalizes soil composition, and increases water retention and fertilizer retention, improves saline soils while inhibiting soil degradation.
